Two-year postdoc

We are seeking applicants for a 2-year postdoctoral position in plant ecology at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The main objective of the research is to understand how phenological and functional traits – and, more specifically, the sensitivity of these traits to temperature – influence tundra plant species’ responses to climate change. The position will involve synthesis of multiple data sources, including plant community composition monitoring data as well as phenological and functional trait data, so excellent data-handling and quantitative skills are required. There will also be an opportunity to conduct Arctic field work, though this is not required. The position is available immediately, or at the latest September 2020.

This project is part of a collaboration with researchers at the University of Edinburgh (teamshrub.com) and the University of Colorado at Boulder, and there will be opportunities for research visits to one or both institutions, but the primary location will be in Gothenburg.
